Learn the top 5 ways to secure and backup your home office here. 1. Connect the TeraStation / LinkStation to your network using the supplied Ethernet cable. Make sure your network has a DHCP server to assign an IP address to the NAS. For a home environment it can usually be your Wi-Fi router.
2. Plug in the Power cable / AC adapter and connect to the TeraStation / LinkStation.
3. Power on the TeraStation / LinkStation by pressing the Power button, or by moving the power switch to “ON”.
4. The power LED should start blinking. Once the power LED is solid the TeraStation / LinkStation is booted and ready to be configured. NOTE: Make sure the network port LED is ON before starting the configuration.
5. Download and install the latest version of NAS Navigator for Windows or Mac. Your computer must be connected to the Internet to download NAS Navigator. NAS Navigator is available from our website at https://buffaloamericas.com/support/download.
For more NAS Navigator installation details, please refer to the following article: How do I install NAS Navigator?
