Initial setup and configuration of an LinkStation 700 series

Applies to LinkStation 700 / SoHo 700 series

 

1.    Setup your Buffalo NAS out of the box

2.    Use Buffalo NAS Navigator to connect to the LinkStation WEBUI.
       How do I install NAS Navigator?

3.    The first step is to set the administrator password. The administrator username is “admin”. The admin password cannot be “password”.
It is recommended to change your admin password now but you can also click Skip to configure the password later.

4. Configure the time zone of the NAS.

 

5.  Configure the proxy server if your TeraStation is located on the network through the proxy server.

6. Setup complete. Click “Close”.


7. The LinkStation UI dashboard will show up. At this point the basic configuration is complete and the TeraStation is ready for use.
