TAA Compliance

TAA refers to the Trade Agreements Act (19 U.S.C. & 2501-2581), which is intended to foster fair and open international trade. TAA requires that the U.S. Government may acquire only “U.S. – made or designated country end products. This act requires that contractors must certify that each end product meets the applicable requirements. End products are ‘those articles, materials and supplies to be acquired for public use’.”

Buffalo's TAA compliant products have been certified to be purchased by the US government.

Buffalo's Commitment to Data Security

Buffalo has always recognized that data protection is of the utmost priority for any business. That's why our TeraStation NAS offer robust and innovative data security technologies, and have been been widely recognized to be amongst the most secure NAS on the market today.

Closed System

Unlike most of our competitors’ NAS devices, the TeraStation runs on a closed system that prohibits infected 3rd-party apps from being installed to ensure maximum ransomware protection.

Robust Encryption on Every Level

TeraStations can be configured to require authentication during boot-up, as well as provide 256-bit AES encryption to prevent HDDs from being read on any device if they are removed.

Two-Factor Authentication

TeraStation NAS come with two-factor authentication (2FA) to ensure that your login information cannot be compromised or hijacked, especially if you are logging in remotely.
