A: 1. Please update the CyberLink Media Suite to the latest update. Read this KB for the update procedure. 2. Make sure the dual USB cables of MediaStation 6X both are plugged in to have enough power. Q: MediaStation 6X LED turned RED and having burning issues. A: LED turns RED to indicate more power is needed. Make sure the dual USB cables of MediaStation 6X both are plugged in to have enough power. Some PC devices cannot provide enough power from one USB port. Note that there are situations that MediaStation does not have enough power to burn a CD-R and DVD-R but the LED does not turn RED.
Q: Unable format or burn a disc over a remote desktop connection. A: By default, users logged on to a computer remotely do not have device level access to either fixed or removable drives. This means that they cannot format or write to CD/DVD/BD recorders. Follow this Microsoft article to allow device level access to remotely logged on users.
Other disc burning failure causes: 1. High disk usage on the system hard drive unrelated to the burn. 2. Application or service running in the background is conflicting with the burn process. Especially not to run other burning software. 3. During the burning process, please exit other unnecessary software to release enough system resources for burning.
