TeraStation 12 bay models Rack rails installation

Note: Both rail sets are identical and can be used on either the left or the right side of the chassis. Make sure to install the inner rails to the TeraStation with the correct direction facing front.

  1. While pushing the white release tabs outward, remove the inner rails of the right and left rack mounting brackets.

 

  1. Install the inner rails to the sides of the TeraStation.

Important:  The white release tabs of the inner rails should be facing the Front side of the TeraStation.

 

  1. Secure the inner rails on both sides to the chassis with the provided screws.

If you did not see the screw holes located at the rear side of the chassis, you might have installed the inner rails at the incorrect direction.

 

  1. Secure the rack mounting brackets to the rack, making sure that the brackets are placed in the right location and direction on the rack as shown below.

 

  1. While keeping the TeraStation unit horizontal, align the inner rails on the sides of the TeraStation with the rack mounting brackets, then slide the TeraStation all the way into the rack.

 

  1. Use the two long screws provided to secure the front of the rack as shown.
