Configure SMS & MMS notification on TeraStation

TeraStation can deliver a short Email Notification in the form of a Text message by using an Email to SMS/MMS gateway provided by mobile carriers. It is easy to find the appropriate gateway address from the mobile phone number and the name of the service provider.

1. To setup the Email to SMS/MMS notification, log in to TeraStation Settings and click the "Management" tab.

2. Click on the slide switch next to "Email Notification" to turn on the feature, and then click the configuration widget on the right.

3. Click Edit in the lower right to change the options.

4. Set the SMTP server address and port of your email provider. If the SMTP server requires authentication set the authentication type and enter the credentials the TeraStation should use to send email. For more information on configuration of web email providers, refer to the settings for each provider: Gmail, Yahoo, or Windows Live. For other services please check with your provider for the correct settings.

5. Rather than entering the person’s email address in the recipient box, simply insert their 10-digit phone number with the appropriate @gateway address behind it, depending on the mobile carrier. Also select the time to send the Daily Report. Click OK to finish configuration.
