1. Open the LinkStation GUI and click the settings icon in the quick launch panel.
2. In the Settings window click the “Folder Setup” icon under “Services”.
3. To create a new shared folder click the “Add” button.
4. Give the folder a name and set the desired parameters for the folder.
Since we want to connect the share with Mac using AFP protocol, make sure to check the AFP option. Once you have all the settings for the folder correct, click “OK”.
5. You might get this message, which means AFP service will also be enabled on the LinkStation.
6. The new shared folder should now be displayed in the list and is available for use.
7. Next, we will connect to the LinkStation share. Locate "Go" in the Mac Finder and click "Connect to Server".
8. At the “Server Address”, enter the Linkstation IP address using the AFP protocol.
9. Enter the login credentials for the LinkStation and click Connect.
10. Select the LinkStation share we want to mount. Select the new share and click OK.
11. The new share is now mounted and available for use. You can locate the LinkStation under "Shared" from the left side menu.
