TeraStation WS5020 Windows Server IoT Network Attached Storage devices are purpose-built as efficient data storage and backup solutions for small businesses. These devices run on the Windows Server IoT 2025 for Storage operating system and integrate seamlessly into Windows-based environments as well as with various Microsoft services such as Azure and OneDrive.

 

The TeraStation NAS offers flexibility to be used as you see fit, such as acting as a multi-purpose file server, a central backup hub for all your files (including backing up to and from cloud services), being set up as a NVR server for security cameras, or serving as a subscription-free backup and disaster recovery (BDR) appliance.

Low Cost Deployment

Whether you are replacing an aging NAS or installing a new on-site storage or backup server, you can easily implement the Windows Server IoT 2025 NAS without extra cost or hassle. In addition, the WS IoT 2025 TeraStation does not require any Client Access Licenses (CALs). You can have up to 50 users access the NAS without needing to pay additional costs to further help device integration.

Windows Server Optimized for Storage

Windows Server IoT 2025 for Storage Workgroup edition is a specialized version of Windows Server IoT with dedicated file server capabilities and streamlined for small storage solutions. You can integrate any Windows product, service, or platform you are already using as needed, as Windows Server IoT 2025 offers enhanced app compatibility from previous editions.

 

The NAS integrates seamlessly into Windows environments, with the familiar Windows Server interface minimizing training needs. It also offers the latest Windows Server features including data deduplication and Active Directory with enhanced security and greater scalability.

Enhanced Data Security

Windows Server IoT 2025 enhances security with SMB over QUIC for encrypted remote access, Active Directory with stronger encryption, automated password management through Delegate Managed Service Accounts, mandatory LDAP encryption, and virtualization-based security to protect sensitive keys and workloads.

WS5020 comes with a 3-year product warranty that covers all hardware components, including hard drives, along with an optional 5-year extension available for all registered devices.

 

This device also qualifies for Buffalo's free Simple Logical Data Recovery service as well as 24/7, US-based live phone support.
